As a registered coach for the West Yorkshire Business Boost support initiative, we are pleased to share information about this government-funded programme, by West Yorkshire Combined Authority through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund*. It is designed to equip West Yorkshire SMEs with the advice, knowledge and networks needed to boost their business success.

There are three services available through this programme:

1. Export

2. Innovation / Growth

3. Leadership Development

Services designed to work with SMEs to improve productivity and resilience through innovation, empowering leaders to drive growth and to help SMEs reach and expand in markets around the world.


It is delivered by Exemplas, one of the UK’s leading business support organisations and their partners, Chamber International, Leeds Beckett University, Medilink and SustainableX.

For qualifying West Yorkshire Businesses (possibly meeting further eligibility criteria), aspects of the programme are either match-funded or fully funded, such as 4 days of coaching interventions to support business improvement to aid growth, with the potential of three Leadership Development Workshops, including:

1. Understanding Leadership & Its Importance

2. Strategy & Culture 

3. High Performing Teams & Performance Management

Also, EQi Leader Profiling.

* The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025. The Fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills.
